The Litchi Orchard - Umhlali

Located amidst an old litchi orchard is one of Durban's most popular markets offering great food, community, art and culture. With a simple back-to-basics lifestyle, this family run market offers fresh, locally-produced products and it makes a good outing for the whole family.

Visitors can enjoy sitting on the deck looking into the litchi trees while enjoying homemade food and listening to top local live music. There are two main sections in the market: the food and drink area, and the art section where you can browse and buy handmade arts and crafts including top-quality furniture pieces, antiques, fine art, photography, pottery, stoneware, graphic design, jewellery and wood carvings.

Stables Lifestyle Market - City Centre

With a great central location on Jaco Jackson Drive near Kings Park Rugby Stadium, this popular market consists of over 100 stables selling a variety of goods from arts and crafts to fashion to a range of food outlets. The market takes place three times a week, on a Wednesday and Friday from 18:00 to 22:00 and on Sundays from 10:00 to 17:00.

The Play Market - Giba Gorge

Located in the scenic Giba Gorge Mountain Bike Park, this market is the perfect outing for the whole family. There is plenty to keep the kids occupied with face painting, dress up boxes, and a BMX track for the sporty kids. Kids are encouraged to set up their own stalls and sell their own wares, which is really great.
