Port Elizabeth Beaches
Port ElizabethWith warm waters and clean white sand, Port Elizabeth's beaches are the city's biggest asset. With 40 kilometres of beach to choose from, beaches provide ideal conditions for water sports, sun bathing, beach volleyball games and sandcastle building. At one end of Port Elizabeth, beaches such as Hobie beach and Kings beach have a more cosmopolitan feel with bars and cafés lining the beachfront. The beaches, such as Seaview Beach, Sardinia Bay and Virgin Bay; further down the coast, are more rugged and are ideal for long walks across the sand. Whales and dolphins can often be seen playing in the waves between May and November.
