Monks Cowl Nature Reserve
Monks Cowl
Located in the Northern Drakensberg, the Monks Cowl Nature Reserve offers a number of great hiking trails with beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. The reserve is named after the peak between Cathkin Peak and Champagne Castle.
There are also a number of caves that were once inhabited by the San people. One of the caves is called the ‘Battle Cave’.
