Addo Elephant Back Safaris is located on the border of the Greater Addo Elephant National Park just a short distance from Port Elizabeth. Guests are offered the unique opportunity of spending time interacting with these gentle giants in their natural surroundings. Walk with the elephants and their handlers through the indigenous bushveld while you are taught about these graceful giants and their environment. After the walk guests are invited to help feed the elephants and are also given the chance to ride them.

The elephants found at the Addo Elephant Back Safari camp originally came from the Kruger National Park after they escaped the culling program, and have since been trained by their affectionate minders.

Three encounters are offered each day with tours generally lasting around 2 ½ hours. Booking is essential, so please call in advance.
