Located in Hilton in the Midlands, the reserve is home to KwaZulu-Natal’s nature conservation service, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. The reserve has a wide variety of wildlife from zebra, blesbok, impala and duiker. It is also a popular birding destination with crowned eagles, African Emerald Cuckoo, and Olive Woodpecker amongst the birds that can be spotted.

Visitors to the reserve can enjoy one of three picnic areas with braai facilities and ablutions. Walkers and hikers can also enjoy the circular iDube trail, or visit the education facility at the reserve.
