Founded some 300 years ago in 1682, Blaauklippen Wine Estate is home to old vines, established wines and a 17th century manor house. The picturesque estate offers wine tastings, a relaxed family friendly restaurant and a very popular Sunday market.

Informal wine tastings can be enjoyed indoors or outside with playground facilities available for children. For a different experience, visitors can try the wine and chocolate paring at R75 per person. Bookings advisable for 6 or more.

Wine tastings available Monday-Saturday from 10h00 – 17h00 (18h30 in summer). Sundays from 10h00 – 16h00. Closed Christmas Day and 1st January. Cellar tours by appointment.

The popular Blaauwklippen Family Market is open every Sunday from 10h00 to 15h00. Enjoy fresh produce, homemade products, crafts and plants. There is also live music, delicious food stalls and of course Blaauwklippen wines to enjoy. Visitors are invited to bring a picnic blanket and relax under the trees.

Enjoy lunch in the relaxed, family-friendly restaurant with its large outdoor terrace overlooking the jungle gym and paddocks. The menu is light and wholesome featuring traditional dishes such as slow-cooked lamb shoulder bobotie.

Open for breakfast from 09h00 and lunch from 12h00. Also on offer is High Tea in the herb garden courtyard Monday – Friday from 14h30-17h00, and Tapas sundowners on the duck pond terrace during the summer months on Wednesday – Friday from 16h00-19h00.
