A firm favourite with locals is the Saturday morning Porter Estate Produce Market held near Tokai Forest. The market sells a range of goods from fantastic fresh produce (cheeses, bread, preserves, sweet treats as well as some clothing and homewares) to hearty farm-style breakfasts, freshly squeezed juices, pancakes and more. There are also plenty of activities for kids to enjoy – face painting, pony rides, sand art, sand pits and the super jungle gym. Parents can sit back and enjoy a cappuccino while the children play.

The market is open every Saturday from 9am until 1pm weather permitting. Sufficient parking is available on the grounds. Situated on the Chrysalis Academy, Porter Estate. The new entrance is at The Stone Church, The Range, Orpen Rd (just off Spaanschemat River Road. There is a R5 entrance charge per car (proceeds to the academy).
