Bush Babies Monkey Sanctuary

Eastern Region

Found alongside the Elephant Sanctuary and located west of Hartbeesport Dam, this area is the ideal environment for a diverse range of monkeys from around the world. The sanctuary covers 7 ha in the Magaliesberg mountain range.

The main aim of the sanctuary is to create awareness and allow primates to roam freely and live as they would in the wild. It is home to a number of exotic species – squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, blank-handed spider monkeys and ringtail lemur.

This is the ideal place for a family, corporate and educational outing. Guided tours are available. The Baraka conference venue located within the sanctuary is available for hire and consists of a hall, dining room, private deck and plunge pool.

There is also a curio shop where you can purchase soft toys, souvenirs, t-shirts and more.

Open 7 days a week from 09h00 to 16h00.
