Robberg Peninsula

Plettenberg Bay

Robberg Penninsula is a rocky coastal resort just 8km south of Plettenberg Bay. Located along the Garden Route, the reserve is situated in an overlapping region of winter and summer rainfall with most showers occurring between August and November. Robberg is a popular hiking area offering 3 circular routes of increasing distance and difficulty with the longest trail taking around 4 - 5 hours.

While in the Robberg area one will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of plant species and bird life, as well as Cape Fur Seals, Dolphins and Whales. Robberg Nature Reserve is a marine reserve and national monument that looks very similar to a ‘mini’ Cape Peninsula and some of the rocks in the area are said to be over 110 million years old.
