The busy port and holiday town of Richards Bay is approximately halfway between Durban and Kosi Bay on the North Coast and is home to beautiful wetland scenery and excellent beaches. Richards Bay Game Reserve, centered on the lagoon, is home to a diversity of aquatic life and birdlife as well as hippo, crocodile and many other animals.
Recreational activities abound from bird watching to canoeing, surfing, swimming and fishing to name a few.
