Well known for its fruit farms as well as its snowfalls, Ceres has a lot to offer the visitor, particularly outdoor enthusiasts, with plenty of activities to take part in and enjoy. These include several 4x4 routes, hiking trails and some good fishing locations. There are also a number of game reserves and nature reserves in the area offering game viewing trips and guided tours to view fascinating bushman rock paintings.
The Klondyke Cherry Farm is a popular farm that draws many visitors during cherry picking season, which usually runs from November to December each year. Cherry picking makes for a fun outing for the whole family.
