The Breede River Valley is a picturesque wine and fruit producing area. Mountains rise up on either side as you journey through the area on one of the 10 different scenic routes. The views from Du Toitskloof are particularly breathtaking as you look out over the valley. The Breede River flows through the valley from Ceres en route to the Indian Ocean.

Quaint, farming towns dot the valley with the heat of the area being perfect for producing wines such as Hanepoot and Muscadel. Route 62 is a popular route that is considered the longest wine route in the world travelling through the Breede River Valley into the Klein Karoo.

Being a relatively short drive from Cape Town, the Breede River Valley is popular with people looking to get out of the busy city and enjoy the tranquillity of the country. Towns such as Montagu, McGregor and Robertson offer a picturesque breakaway.
