Woodlands Retreat is nestled in a lush wooded garden, surrounded by inspiring sandstone mountain landscape, for which Clarens is renowned. Breathe deeply and feel free! Clarens is within walking distance! We are a short hop for a weekend getaway (+- midway between Johannesburg & Durban).
In-room facilities include:
• Complementary tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk in the suite.
• Kitchenette with a 2 plate cooker, oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware, cooking pots & utensils.
• Heating (in winter).
• Hangers.
• Umbrella.
Establishment facilities include:
• Braai (BBQ) stand. Wood/charcoal and fire lighters provided.
• Free secure parking on premises.
• Wireless internet – Usually turned on from +-7am until 11pm so as to allow guests with EMF sensitivities to rest well.
• We are endeavouring to create an eco-friendly, organic environment and are moving to be as self-sufficient as possible, planning to be off the grid in the future!
Please note:
* No smoking indoors and if you do smoke in the garden please discard your butts in the butt bin as we are endeavouring to maintain an eco-friendly organic space both internally and in the garden.
* No pets allowed, as we have one of our own.
* Please respect each other’s space and need for tranquillity and also take care of our sacred place.

Description:
The Space – The new Silver Pebbles Suite is elegantly furnished with an X-long Queen size bed and a single sleeper couch, dressed with fresh crisp 100% cotton percale linen. The clean flow white tiled bathroom is en-suite. This suite has a mini kitchenette equipped with a two plate stove/mini table top oven, (optional microwave), fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware & cooking utensils.
The patio is covered and private with outdoor furniture.
There is under carpet heating and both the bedroom and bathroom have heaters along with electric blankets on the beds for the chilly winter nights.
The suite is serviced daily. In the evening any used kitchenware may be placed on a tray out on the patio to be refreshed. Complimentary tea/coffee/sugar and fresh milk is provided in the suite daily.

The Cherry Cottage is a single space comfortably furnished with a Tri-bunk bed (consisting of a double bed with a single bunk bed on top), plus two singe bunk beds, complemented with Cherry Red accents. The new bathroom is en-suite. Towels are provided.
The cottage has a kitchenette equipped with a 2-plate glass hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware & cooking utensils.
The private patio has a braai/BBQ overlooking the garden and Silver Birch forest. As a courtesy to our guests charcoal and firelighters are provided.
Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk is provided in the suite daily.
There is a heater in the bathroom, along with electric blankets on the beds for the chilly winter nights. (We are planning on installing a rocket fire place for winter).
The cottage is serviced daily.
