Situated above the rocks with stunning views of False Bay. 10-minutes to Simon's Town and Penguins at Boulders Beach and 45-minutes to Cape Point. A 5-minute walk to Fish Hoek beach. Several Wine Routes, The Waterfront & Table Mountain are an hour away. Golf, bowls, & water sports close by.
Nautilus Lodge offers truly unparalleled views of Fish Hoek Beach, Sunny Cove and the blue expanse of False Bay encircled by the distant Hottentots Holland Mountains.
Nautilus Lodge lies perched over Jager’s Walk known locally as “The Cat Walk” which is a scenic path built right on the rocks at the water’s edge. A five minute stroll beside the sea will take you from Sunny Cove and its tiny railway platform, to Fish Hoek Beach and on to the village centre.
Nautilus Lodge has two roomy apartments, one has one bedroom and full bathroom and the other has two bedrooms, one ensuite with shower, toilet and hand basin and the other with full bathroom. Both bedrooms have open plan kitchens, fully equipped for self-catering including stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. All linen and towels are supplied and the apartments are serviced once per week. The lounges have sliding doors leading out onto patios overlooking the rocks and sea below.
The ensuite bedroom has a double bed and the other bedrooms can have either singles or a king size bed. Electric blankets, clock alarms and hairdryers are supplied.
There is parking for one car per apartment directly outside the apartments. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Free videos are available at the local video store. If DSTV is required it is charged at an additional cost per day. I have two boogie boards for surfing and I am happy to lend these out.
Please note:
- Check in time is from 14:00 till 17:00. Late arrivals after 17:00 must be pre-arranged at least 24 hours in advance as our reception closes at 17:00.
- Check out time is strictly 10:00, unless otherwise arranged.
- We regret, no children under the age of 12 years.
- No additional adults permitted other than as allocated per room.
- Nautilus Lodge is a non-smoking establishment.
- Nautilus Lodge is not pet friendly.
- If three bedrooms are required, the two apartments (if available) would suit your needs.

The solar light for when the electricity in the area went out, the clothes horse for wet costumes, the bucket in the shower to collect water, and the plastic containers so that one can have a picnic on the beach. I will definitely return!"
