Hermanus is famous for its champagne air, long stretches of beach, mild climate, and rich floral kingdom and friendly environment. It is also within easy reach of Cape Town International Airport.
Hermanus, also described as the Riviera of the South, offers the best shore-based whale watching in the world. Nature lovers from all over the world visit Hermanus to view these magnificent creatures from the cliffs of this narrow coastal town, between the fynbos-covered mountains, and the waves of the Atlantic it is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast. There is golf, tennis, squash, bowls, canoeing, yachting, diving and surfing to enjoy. For those who need the adrenalin rush there are the thrills of hang gliding and shark-cage diving.
Penguino's 4 rooms are tastefully and individually decorated with high quality finishes, each with ensuite bathrooms. As we are a small family run guesthouse we pride ourselves in giving warm, friendly personal hospitality. As we are just 40 metres from the famous cliff paths and a 7 minute walk to the center of town. You will be spoilt for choice. Penguino offers a perfect base from which to explore the restaurants, shops and other diversities, including the famous Fynbos and the Southern Right Whales, which this town offers.
The guest house boasts a swimming pool, guest lounge with fire place, complementary Wi-Fi internet access and safe off-street parking.

-Arts & Crafts: Hermanus has always attracted a large number of artistically talented people. You will find numerous painters, sculptors, poets, ceramicists, jewellery designers, glass designers, quilters and photographers in and around Hermanus.
-Markets: There are three markets on a Saturday morning.
-Beaches: There are many fantastic beaches in and around Hermanus, all with in a 10 minute drive away from Penguino guesthouse.

Hi Guys ,
You asked if we enjoyed our stay atPenguino, My wife and I felt like we were part of Stephan and NikiÕsfamily, they were both super friendly. Stephan is a fantastic cook and Niki isa gracious host, they were very accommodating towards us and even gave us abottle of wine as we were there on honeymoon. The facilities were great andextremely comfortable.
If I get the chance to go back tohermanus again I would definetly stay at penguin.
