Pictures of Berg en Zee Guesthouse (26 pictures)
Berg en Zee is ideally placed in the heart of the picturesque village of Gordon's Bay. The attractive bay is used as a small-craft harbour, where luxury yachts and cabin cruisers bob in tightly packed lines.
Every spacious room has a panoramic sea view from its own private balcony and the beach is only a stone's throw away.
With its many outdoor cafés and restaurants, the Mediterranean atmosphere of Gordon's Bay is popular with holidaymakers. All of these are a short stroll along the beach from our door. The white sandy beaches make it a chosen destination for bathing and water sports. Berg en Zee is two minutes' walk from the well-known Bikini Beach a particular favourite with sunbathers because the harbour wall shelters it from most winds.
There are so many attractions within easy reach and these are just a few more of them:
* Nature reserves and botanical gardens from 5 to 20 minutes' drive
* Whale route from 5 to 40 minutes' drive.
* Wine estates from 10 minutes' drive.
* Golf estates from 10 to 40 minutes' drive.
* Cape Town city centre and V&A Waterfront 40 minutes' drive.
* Stellenbosch 30 minutes' drive.
* Somerset Mall Shopping Centre 10 minutes' drive.
* Cape Town International Airport 30 minutes' drive.

Ms Bardsley 12 December 2012 Berg en Zee is a wonderfully appointed guest house, great views, friendly staff and lovely rooms. The owners have made this home from home, will definitely go back A+++
An ideal stopover, but much more...
Mr Davies (South Wales) 28 March 2011 After a week of touring, the Berg en Zee was our last one night stopover before a week in Cape Town, and was ideally situated for us at the end of our Hermanus-Gordons Bay - wonderful scenic drive.
The guesthouse was professionally organised, very friendly, with well appointed rooms and an excellent breakfast. All the guest rooms appeared to have a parking bay (important for us) and "magnificent" sea views. Good restaurants were located within an easy 5 min walk which saved taking the car (allowing you to take a drink with your meal if you wished).
Then while driving along the sea front, on the morning after our stay, it was obvious to us that Berg en Zee could have been our base for a much longer and enjoyable stay in Gordons Bay.
