It does not cost the earth to stay at environmentally friendly, 4-star Mackaya Bella Guest House, famed for its indigenous garden, friendly hospitality and comfort. Named after an indigenous shrub, Mackaya Bella, signifies our environmentally-responsible management approach, and provides visitors with a calm and quiet space in which to work, unwind and relax. Guests enjoy independence during their stay, as well as discreet, quality service. Each en-suite room has workspace, broad-band wireless internet access, a hospitality tray and bar fridge. Rooms are available as either double, twin or single. All beds are extra length, with finest percale linen, fluffy towels and bathrobes for the duration of guests’ visits. Parking is on-site. A laundry service is provided at additional cost. With advance notice, dinner can be arranged.

Mackaya Bella is situated in stylish Glenwood - a residential suburb with numerous restaurants, galleries, cafés and boutiques - close to the Howard College campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, the Nelson Mandela Medical School, many hospitals (Inkosi Albert Luthuli, Westville, Entabeni and St Augustine’s), the CBD, the International Conference Centre and Moses Mabhida soccer stadium.

Mackaya Bella boasts an exquisite and refreshing swimming pool for those hot summer days. All rooms are en-suite and air-conditioned. They are also equipped with tea & coffee making facilities, bar fridge, safe, hairdryer, wireless internet access and TV. Parking is secure. Although we are a non-smoking establishment, smoking is permitted on the patios and in the garden. We cater for all dietary requirements provided prior notice is given. A laundry service is available on request.
