Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, Alvaria is a luxury self-catering guest house. Alvaria offers you gracious, Old World accommodation at affordable prices. The house is over a hundred years old, with large spacious living rooms. There are four bedrooms, which enable the staff to give you personal attention.
A full English breakfast is served either in a tranquil garden setting full of wild garden birds or in front of a crackling fire.
Tea/Coffee and rusks are available in each bedroom
and each bed has an electric blanket.
Long term bookings are welcome. Tariffs will be adjusted accordingly. At Alvaria you are assured of a pleasant and comfortable nights rest. Alvaria is close to the shopping center and 10 minutes from the center of town. |

There are no words to describe the beauty of this establishment. The owner reserved the true value of the word antique, yet very modern. The calm relaxed atmosphere in the place makes you realize how much of a home away from home this guesthouse really is. The owner gave us a really warm welcome, and she is more than accommodating in any requests.
The breakfast served was really fresh, and homemade, so true to real South African culture.
I will recommend this venue to any person, I am totally satisfied, and will definitely make use of this venue over and over again.
