Not only is each room uniquely decorated by an artist, poet, photographer, designer or musician, but, they were afforded complete freedom to interpret the space as they pleased, resulting in a collection of hotel rooms that are an adventurous, humorous (and sometimes ironic) representation of Cape Town’s contemporary cultural landscape.

Spacious and recently refurbished these funky apartments have retained their old world feel with Oregon wooden floors, exposed brick and ceiling beams and decorated with a hint of contemporary vibrant Africanism.
Each apartment sleeps 2-4 people and has an open plan kitchen dining area and lounge. The bathroom has a shower. The front apartments have French doors, which open up onto Long Street the perfect place to sit on a warm evening and watch the street transform.

| Directions: From the airport to Long Street is approximately 21kilometres and takes approximately 20 minutes.
Exit the Airport and continue for approximately 3kilometres; Merge onto the N2 HIGHWAY; Follow N2 STAD / CITY SIGN; after approx 18 kilometres move into lane with M6 / SEA POINT / WATERFRONT SIGN; Proceed up Buitegracht Street for one kilometre and then turn left into Wale Street and right into Long Street. The Art Hotel is located at number 134 Long Street, near the Wale Street intersection whilst the Apartments are located five blocks up Long Street at number 263.

My family sons of 18 and 11) and I needed to spend a weekend together in Cape Town and Daddy Longs apartments offered an exciting and comfortable family sized space. We could enjoy each others company in the space of a flat and we could experience the heart of Cape Town Long Street lifestyle. Thanks for a great experience!

This is a very funky hip hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and functioned like skilled concierges. The bar reception area was great with classic movies projected on the wall. The welcoming drink was spot on. We had the Karaoke room featured on the website. It was fun but I would have preferred one of the more fashionable rooms. Without an elevator the third story rooms are a bit of a struggle with luggage, but the great air-conditioning helped to cool the climb.
