"We've just come home from our 3 week stay in SA. We started with 2 weeks of relaxing on the Garden Route and wanted more partying and to feel the "pulse of the city" when we came to Cape Town. Staying at Daddy Long Legs is the perfect location for just that, in Long Street, the main street for having fun and meeting new friends...

They met us with a smile when we arrived, showed us the apartment and left us alone, just the way we wanted it. If we had any questions, we just went down to their travel centre, where they sorted everything out for us. They also arranged a couple of tours as well. Excellent service by cool guys who know the city in and out. The cleaning of the room was also very good, and the room had that "urban chic" style. Nice!

To sum it up; perfect stay for "young" guys who like to party and live in the city bowl. Not very suited for people searching for a quiet place...

The setup of the apartment was fantastic as well, I think these self catering apartments were a great idea, we had our own candlelight dinner so we actually felt like we were at a restaurant because of the great buzzz outside, and the beds, aaaaah, We had a great nights sleep and the air con kept us even more warmer and cozier. But be sure to hear from us soon again for another break away. This time I'll bring another couple along so they can experience what we did at Daddy Long Legs.

"With all the hype around ecotourism nowadays, it was refreshing and invigorating to find a spot in the heart of Cape Town catering for the city lover. Yes, the environment has much to offer, but Cape Town City beats with a heart of its own. Miss this, and you miss out.

From our walk-up apartment in Long Street, we were literally on the doorstep of a diverse and exciting mix of shops, restaurants, entertainment, architecture and urban style that you just don’t find elsewhere in South Africa: all against the backdrop of the mountains and the ocean. When we were tired of walking and shopping, we could sit on our balcony and still feel intimate with the street.

The minimalist apartment was just what we needed and all we wanted - funky yet functional spaces designed with care. I especially liked the designer finishes - simple, clean, creative.

Will I stay there again? If I could, I would live there..."

We stayed five nights in November, and appreciated the homey atmosphere, central location and reasonable rates.

Our room had a washing machine, clothes drying rack, iron/board, kitchen and a sizable living room. While we were concerned about the noise of late night revelry on Long Street, it really wasn't an issue.

The staff was really helpful in giving advice on things to do and see during our visit.

So much better for a long stay (we stayed 5 nights) than a hotel. The only problem was trying to sleep with the noise from the street. Of course it's Long Street, so noise is to be expected. We moved to an apartment with the bedroom in the back and the problem with sleeping was fixed. I'd recommend Daddy Long Legs, especially for groups or couples in the younger crowd--some kids may have a tougher time with the location, but my 10 year old loved it."
