Home from Home turned out to be a delightful surprise. Firstly it's located far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city to be quiet and peaceful, and yet it's just around the corner from shopping and other attractions in Bloemfontein.
The place itself is amazing; clean, neat, spacious and very well equipped, with the owners keeping things simple, yet stylish. I especially enjoyed the little entertainment area, which was comfortable, with the beautiful furniture making one feel even more at home. The tiny garden was neat and in a surprisingly good condition, considering that it was winter; and it would be a great place to spend some quiet time reading or meditating.
The staff were friendly and helpful; and our contact person, Jean-Marie, was incredibly accommodating; she expressed real concern for us as guests and went way beyond what we expected to make our stay not only comfortable, but pleasant.
Would I go back? Definitely!

Our friendly hostess gave us a map of Bloem and recommended a restaurant.

The freezer was useful and we could re-freeze our freezer blocks for the next day's drive. There were crockery and cutlery and braai facilities... well organised.

There were teas, coffees and rusks - unfortunately only 1 bag of rooibos. Also we thought there was DSTV (according to the literature found next to the bed) but could only find the regular 4 channels.

The secure off-street parking was appreciated and a "deal clincher" for us.
