The pool is in a central courtyard and is idyllic. Pool towels available. All in all a super place to stay. We were here 4 nights while visiting the wineries."

The only extra feature I would have liked in the room is plunger coffee, so I chose to drink tea in the mornings instead. The host, Hennie, was incredibly friendly and helpful, booking a lunch for us and advising us of nice places to visit.

We were thrilled when he presented us with a bottle of champagne for our engagement. The receptionist also booked an emergency dentist appointment for us. The dining room is also magnificent and we thoroughly enjoyed the tasty array of breakfast foods. All in all, a fantastic experience, we will cherish forever."

1. The staff - from reception to kitchen and laundry staff and are really friendly and helpful. All made me feel welcome and at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
2. It’s in a lovely and safe inner part of town (with the botanical gardens around the corner).
3. The atmosphere is superb: a beautiful old home with an old world homely touch. I stayed in the newer building which displayed the same approach. Has the best lounge ever. It has a great and most relaxing 'African' ambience - and with free internet.
4. I found their attention to detail unsurpassed - from great comfortable beds to good quality toiletries and lovely breakfasts.
I do a lot of travelling - though chosen accidentally I couldn't have picked a better place. This B&B has it all! Thanks for a great week."
