"When I recently visited the inn My expectations of the place was exceeded! This is a beautiful place, but still needs a few improvements. Upon our arrival the staff were lounging about in the dining room/entrance, the receptionist was not very friendly with his greeting. The bedroom was stunning but there was no bath mat available, the coffee station seemed to be used and there was only one coffee cup available for my partner and I and the aircon leaked straight onto my head whilst I was sleeping (not pleasant at all!!). The food was also good but took an hour to arrive (only order a burger and a toasted sandwich and another couple had also waited more than an hour). The next morning I was very disappointed when housekeeping staff started talking really loud in the passage therefore waking me up too early for my liking.

All this said I still believe this place has a fantastic potential if the few mentioned things were improved. "

The Gecko Inn staff really made our weekend stay a very delightful one, by them being open-minded, fun, friendly, understanding and always ready to assist. Even though my partner and I were constantly in an out of the guest house, we made time to enjoy the divine food.

I would definitely recommend my friends and family to join the Gecko Inn circle of friends. At a reasonable price for quality rooms, why not? We sure did leave Gecko Inn with many new friends."

We were received by 2 sisters who were really nice and real with us, which we really appreciated. Everything was just of 5 star treatments, even though the lights were not working and we had to stay outside as we were waiting for them to be fixed. We were then moved to an even nicer room. The peace of mind we got is just awesome. The breakfast was nicely done and our room had wonderful pictures, you wouldn’t want to leave the room. We really enjoyed our stay at Gecko Inn."

"I would just like to say I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Gecko Inn (January 2013). I travelled around a lot with my partner who is heavily involved in the triathlon series. We normally stay at camping sites etc. due to the less expense. But this time we decided to try a self catering experience – and it was awesome. The Place is clean; the staff are friendly and is good value. And if I have the opportunity again, I definitely return. I have only but good things to say about my stay and will be referring the Inn to all I work with.
