The swimming pool helped allot to cool down and we unexpectedly received some visitors the Saturday evening. Two zebras were standing in front of our chalets while we were busy with a braai. Our stay was really pleasant and we will be heading back very soon!"

Peter and I were looking for a breakaway as the kids and grandkids stay with us and are awake from 05h00 on weekends with yelling and screaming kids. All we wanted was to be woken up by birds not kids. We did hear birds, but were up with the sound of Air balloons going over the chalets.

This place will definitely see us again.

The chalet is just big enough for two people and well equiped, except no TV, but we did not mind. They had even matches available as we do not smoke and wanted to braai and we forgot to bring some with.

We were lucky to see some animals, Emos, Zebras, some buck and felt likes kids seeing Zebras for the first time.

Something else that we found nice was a Restaurant about 4km from the resort, Die Ou Pastorie. The foods is excellent and worth trying them. We were told that the menu changes everyday.

This place will definitely see us again. "

The chalets are STUNNING. Very neat, VERY WELL Equipped and a view to die for! Very nicely set up chalets with a great hot tub for 2, amazing fire place and cool braaing area set up outside each chalet.

Lena(staff) is a doll, so very sweet and friendly, a true gem..

You are also provided with a little folder of entertainment in the the surrounding areas, this proves to be very helpful to first time comers to Harties.

Everything we needed was in the chalet except for an iron for clothes. The room was so clean and fresh. Everything was working well. They even had a fire place in the chalet with wood and a match for the cold evening plus an extra heater. The water was so warm and they had the most relaxing bath. They also had a booklet of all the near by activities and restaurants within the area. Since there are animals within the vicinity, the booklet also advised you on how to behave around the animal. In just the first night we saw Buffalo's, Zebra's, Monkeys, Bucks and these huge birds that look like ostriches.

Even though Eskom decided to cut down the lights. They were prepared for that. We had two candles and a candle holder already available from the 1st day. The pool and Jacuzzi was so beautiful and clean. They also have amazing level of trust in their guests.

We will definitely be coming back and we have already referred a few people to come check out the place. Thank you for the amazing simplicity and awesome service. "

The open-plan lounge, bedroom and kitchen are decorated African style, the open corner bath and big glass window overlooking the trees, big enough for two, making this the ideal romantic get-a-way for nature watching and unwinding and spending quality couple time together. The unit has a built-in braai. Harties and Magalies are not that far away also.
The pool area was lovely and clean, and super relaxing and if you lucky the zebras will come close enough for you to almost touch.
My husband and I enjoyed the stay tremendously and would definitely go back for a romantic getaway.

This weekend was very peaceful and quiet, one could actually sit and relax and enjoy the country side. To get the busy buzz of the city out of your head for a few days was heaven.
I would definitely come back here again to enjoy the country side once more and to see the Hot air balloons going over your room was a nice scene.

"This was our first visit to South Africa, and following an 11 hour flight we collected our hired car and headed straight for Little Swift Self Catering Chalets. We took a wrong turn or two on our way out of Johannesburg and were starting a feel a little worse for wear, but the moment we drove into Little Swift and saw the zebra grazing peacefully around us, totally unconcerned at our presence, we felt immediately rejuvenated.

One of the features that sold us on this location was the privacy of the corner bath overlooking the river, and we were not disappointed. Sitting out the back of an evening with a glass of wine, looking through the trees and down to the river, was so relaxing.

Wandering over the acres of pasture, with a gorgeous Magaliesberg Mountain range backdrop, encountering wildebeest, deer and monkeys as we walked, ensured every spare moment was as occupied and as relaxing as we wanted it to be. Each day started with anticipation due to the early morning visits from an almost-friendly mongoose. We are planning a return trip to South Africa some day, and Little Swift Self Catering Chalets is definitely on our list of places to re-visit."
