Summerstrand Beach Lodge Lodge presently offers fully furnished self-catering accommodation for essential services workers only.

General Info:
Situated a minute from PE's flagship beachfront, our gorgeous accommodation is divided into Summerstrand Beach Lodge and Pollok Beach Guest Lodge.
The 2 establishments are perfectly situated across the road from one another and offer 15 furnished units on a self-catering basis.

All rooms have their own private entrances and accommodation consists of studio, 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom units. All units are equipped with Dstv, fans, heaters, safes, Wi-Fi and fully equipped kitchens, bedding and towels. In addition we also offer secure parking behind remote gates, braai areas & seasonal outdoor swimming pools. We offer breakfast, lunch packs and dinner on request which can be served in our dinning area or in your room. The beautiful guest houses are suitable for the corporate or leisure / local or foreign traveler and all facilities make it perfect for comfortable long stays or short term rentals.

The Conference Venue can seat between 22 and 30 delegates depending on seating style and is only available to Guest House sleep in Guests !! Please contact the office to discuss the rates.
Full day and Half day Packages are available with or without light Breakfast and Light Lunch.
Venue hire is included in our different Conference Package Rates. Our friendly, professional staff is looking forward to being at your service

The Guest Houses are situated conveniently; short walk to the shopping centre, Boardwalk Casino, restaurants, bars, cinemas, tenpin bowling, Radisson Hotel Bar and more.
In addition, those that enjoy golf can simply drive 2 minutes to the Humewood Golf Course.
Located 5 min's from PE International Airport and 2 min's from Nelson Mandela Bay University (which also makes it very convenient for those visiting sons/daughters that are studying.)
The freeway meets the main beach road making travelling to any/all popular game reserves between PE and Grahamstown most convenient for those staying with us. Cabs and taxi's are easily accessible. A laundromat is also only 100m from us. For those with a love for nature, the sea and/or birding; take a short drive (5-8 minutes) to Cape Recife Nature Reserve where a few rare bird species have brought many birders from around South Africa and the world.
These include sightings of Antarctic tern, Golden pacific Plover, Bridles Tern and the latest rare visitor in Easter; the Red Footed Booby. Or follow the road along PE's "wildside" coastal route to any of the coastal suburbs: Kini Bay, Beachview, Seaview, Sardinia Bay and Maitlands. Nature trails, where you can enjoy sandboarding, horseriding or a range of other activities that can be enjoyed at some of these beautiful beaches.

Summerstrand Beach Lodge is graded by AA Tourism as highly recommended.
Children of all ages welcome. No charge for children under 4 yrs. Camping cots available on request. We regret no big dogs allowed. Small dogs can be accommodated, with permission.

"Well !!! What can and should I dare say?

We loved the layout of the self-catering unit. Lovely interior design features. Also everything one needs in a kitchen was at our disposal.

We loved the pool and braai area.

It was quite wonderful that a lady came to fetch the towels and brought fresh ones every other day.

Overall a lovely place to stay as it was alsowithin walking distance from the beach.

I'd return anytime when in Port Elizabeth again...
