After settling in and taken to our beautiful and clean rooms, our hosts went with us through some house keeping rules, e.g. smoking policy, breakfast arrangements and even wanted to book our supper at one of the restaurants in town. Big was the surprise when I realised that I know Aunt Maggie from my days as a student, when she and her late husband had the guest house in Ceres and we stayed there while playing golf at the local club.

As I played a lot of golf as a child in Mosselbay (25-30 years ago), I wanted to walk the course again and see what changes they have done. Next thing they gave me (free of charge) the use of their private golf cart to use. I was very glad, because I still had to play Fancourt the afternoon.

All administrative issues, e.g. billing was clear and ready, and when I had to leave early after a break in at my house in Cape Town I was brought back to reality. I'll certainly go back to play my round of golf at the new Mosselbay course. We'll certainly stay at Murray and Maggie’s again!
