Chris , the manager's face was priceless when we arrived and 2 gentlemen of each 6foot4 jumped out of the the bakkie in which we had arrived . I dont know who was more surprised!!!!!Chris or the the "boys from south of Johannesburg" Our rooms were spotless and the white bedding and towels are a nice touch, feels more like home than a guest house. From booking in to the end of our stay, Loddeys was home away from home. Breakfasts are divine and the boertjie boys believe that you always start a day with a "goeie ontbyt" which is exactly what we got. Nothing was too much trouble for Chis, who went out of his way to do a birthday dinner for one of our guest's by buying birthday servittes and doing a special fish braai for the birthday boy - thank u again. I am sure that Loddey's will never be the same again, but the 4 by 4 gang will be back to enjoy
