The nicest aspect of our stay was that Filip and Marion were friendly and helpful with any queries that we had. Filip in particular gave us a lot of good advice about what to do in the area within our timescale. They were both also very sensitive towards our son's fear of dogs and kept their two lovely dogs inside when he felt nervous. "

The room was overlooking the garden & small swimming pool. It was very clean & furnished to a high standard. The large shower room was recently refurbished & tiled beautifully. We had our own entrance into the room via the garden gate which was convenient.

Marion was very helpful with recommending various restaurants in the vicinity. If you stay here go to eat at Powell House restaurant literally next door to Marula Lodge -- the food is excellent, very reasonably priced & we had excellent service from the owner - a Scot!

Swellendam is a very good stop off point on the Garden route & there is an interesting Folk museum there"
