"As soon as we arrived at La Roche they made us feel welcome and not just the next guest to arrive. The family atmosphere was always there which made us feel very comfortable. Our room was large and luxurious and the whole house had a good feel about it.
As we were on our first visit to Cape Town they helped with plans, booking restaurants, and telling us places to visit and those to avoid - most useful.
There were no drink making facilities in the bedrooms, but you just helped yourselves in the dining room, an excellent idea. We were also able to help ourselves to other drinks (with an honesty box) it all helped to make us feel totally relaxed about the stay, and the other guests felt the same. Many had visited Cape Town before and thought La Roche the best place they had stayed - my research on the net before our visit was well worth it and now we have recommended La Roche to many others and are saving up to go back ourselves, next year!
As we left, they both stood outside to wave us goodbye, which made us feel like friends rather than guests. Simply a great place to stay."
