The annual Cape Town Cycle Tour is the world’s largest timed cycling event, with over 35 000 cyclists taking part in the event. The Argus attracts many from around the world to cycle the 109 kilometers along the majestic Cape coast.

The race starts in the city centre and goes down the Blue Route into Simonstown. Then cyclists turn and go over Chapmans Peak and start making their way back to town, climbing the short, steep Suikerbossie, eventually ending at Green Point.

The event is not just for the cyclists but offers a lot of entertainment for the whole family with carnival tents and entertainment at the finish line.
