With the return of Spring the town of Hermanus becomes a buzz of activity as the Southern Right Whales make their way back to the waters off the coast. People from all over come to enjoy the best land based whale watching in the world, and enjoy the numerous festivities in the town.
The annual festival features local musicians, arts and crafts, comedy shows, and various shows happening all around Hermanus. The Whale Festival is the only Enviro-Arts festival in South Africa.
