Joburg's Board Games Cafe

Last updated: Jan 10, 2017

This winter sees a new and fun café open in the trendy neighbourhood of Parkhurst in Johannesburg, where Jacobs Kruning has just launched the Jacobs Board Game Café. The café offers a chance to relax, enjoy a complimentary cup of Jacobs and sit down to play one of the many board games on offer.

There are plenty of old favourites to play, from Scrabble to Battleship and everything in between. Board games offer a great way to connect with friends, and for many of us they offer a nostalgic reminder of holidays spent guessing whether it was Professor Plum in the Library or Colonel Mustard in the Billiards Room.

The Jacobs Board Game Café aims to give people a place to share a laugh and enjoy some old-fashioned fun. The café is the first of its kind in South Africa and offers a novel way to shake off the cold this winter. Why not invite some friends and rediscover the joys of board games?

The Jacobs Board Game Café is located at 69, 11th Street, Parkhurst and is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 10h00 to 22h00. The cafe will only be open until the end of August 2012, so make sure to pay a visit for your complimentary coffee and some time with friends.
