Cycling in Sea Point

Last updated: Aug 30, 2017

Come rain or shine, you’re more than likely to find handfuls of locals and tourists enjoying a stroll, jog or cycle along Cape Town’s Sea Point promenade all year round. The popular meeting spot stretches out a lengthy and scenic 11km against the Atlantic Ocean and is a must-visit when in the Mother City.

Grab a bike from Up Cycles and discover the prom on two wheels. Start your cycle at their bicycle rental station at the Sea Point Pavilion where you have a choice of renting a bike for 1 hour to a full day.

It’s best not to rush your time on the promenade, because usually it’s quite a relaxed place to get active. Along your cycle discover public art installations, an outdoor gym, a miniature golf course and a multitude of awesome coffee shops and restaurants.
