Here in South Africa we really do have the best of both worlds - vibrant, hot summers and even snowy winters in some parts of our beautiful country. Most ordinary South Africans have not experienced the true wonder of a white winter. We'd like to change that.
We have put together a list of some of the best places to experience snow this winter:
Eagle's Rock Mountain Retreat - Drakensberg

Graaff-Reinet is the forth oldest town in South Africa and is filled with around 200 historical buildings, restored pre-Victorian homes and a wonderful collection of museums. The best time to visit this area is in winter as the town is covered with icy snow - which is an amazing attraction on its own.
