Charming Break at the Foot of Chapman's Peak

Last updated: Aug 30, 2017

Stephanie recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at Haven Point in Noordhoek with her family.

After what seemed like the longest week at the office, we were incredibly excited to be spending the weekend in the beautiful Noordhoek Valley – situated at the foot of Chapman’s Peak and boasting a delightful village-like charm.

We arrived at Haven Point on a cool and calm Friday evening and were warmly welcomed by our hostess Amandie, who gave us a quick tour and left us to settle in. We unpacked and lazily decided on take-outs for supper and so headed down to the nearby quaint shopping village. We bought our goods, headed back “home” and settled in the comfy lounge area to enjoy some good food and great company.

The guest lounge is fitted with internal braai/barbecue, a sofa that can convert into a queen size sleeper couch, DSTV, kitchen with amazing Teppanyaki and stacking doors that lead onto the beautiful patio area overlooking the sparkling swimming pool.

Haven Point has 4 bedrooms, 3 of which can sleep a maximum of 2 guests with the 4th bedroom sleeping up to 4 guests.

All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, and they are really quite unique with a charming rustic feel.

Later we headed to our cosy bedrooms for a peaceful nights rest on the large king-sized beds. We awoke late the next morning and walked out onto the wooden deck for some fresh air and sunshine. After whipping up a quick brekkie we headed out to the nearby beach for a little relaxation.

After a few hours in the sun we popped into a local restaurant – The Red Herring - for a lovely light lunch and some refreshing cocktails and craft beer.

Upon our return to Haven Point (which has been so thoughtfully tidied up for us while we were away) we retired to the lounge area once again to enjoy some TV and come dinner time we made great use of the convenient indoor braai area.

Appetites happily satisfied we again headed off to our rooms and slept peacefully in the comfy and plush beds.

The next morning we got an early start and prepared a full English breakfast spread – which was super easy in the amazing kitchen on offer at Haven Point. The best part was using the Teppanyaki which definitely made preparing breakfast an absolute pleasure!

We enjoyed our meal out on the wooden deck under the large umbrella.

We snapped some pics of the amazing views surrounding us, packed up our goodies, thanked our hostess for an incredible weekend and headed home feeling absolutely refreshed.

Our stay at Haven Point was a wonderful and serene experience which really did our family a world of good! We will definitely be back again soon.
