Lucille recently enjoyed a relaxing holiday at Madison on First in PE with her family.
Nestled in the beautiful green suburb of Walmer in Port Elizabeth and just a stone’s throw from the beach, Madison on First is the perfect holiday accommodation.
After a long drive from Cape Town for our first ever family visit to the Friendly City my husband and I reveled in the breathtaking scenery on route to PE and the ease with which were able to navigate through the streets of Walmer and surrounds. On our arrival at the beautifully structured 3-storey apartment block we were warmly welcomed by a most friendly smile from our very accommodating and wonderful host and owner Pierre.
Intuitively noticing that we were exhausted from our long trip, Pierre promptly led us from the onsite parking bay situated behind remote controlled gates through the beautifully kept communal garden path to the second floor apartment with its own private entrance. The gorgeous loft apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with granite tops, a front loader washing machine, dining area and clothes horse. The kitchen leads off to a balcony with a gas braai facility (because South African’s love to braai LOL).
The apartment also boasts two modern bedrooms beautifully decorated and neatly laden with quilted comforters on the beds, soft evening lighting and venetian blinds. The main bedroom comprises a queen size bed and en-suite with shower and a balcony with a stunning view of the neighborhood. The second bedroom contains two single beds located next to the bathroom, which includes a bath.
A staircase leads off the open plan kitchen/dining area to a stunning loft lounge area which is removed from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and bedroom (Perfect for some alone time away from the kids). The lounge further leads to another large balcony with braai facilities, which allowed the kids to entertain themselves and do some star gazing and enjoy the beautiful sunset (for away time from the parents).
The apartment also offers a DSTV hotel package.
The secure parking and remote access gave us absolute peace of mind and located only 2km from the airport and within walking distance from various shopping centres, Madison on First is ideally situated. Various sports clubs, including a driving range for those getaway golf moments are also closely located.
We would not be at a coastal area for holiday without visiting the beach of course and the main beaches including the renowned Boardwalk are only a few kilometers.
Pierre was an absolutely wonderful host and made us feel as if we were at a home away from home.
Madison on First is certainly first on my accommodation list and has made my families first visit to the Friendly City an experience worth sharing!
