Cape Town’s most famous landmark; Table Mountain, is a not to be missed attraction when visiting this beautiful city. Begin your visit by taking a ride in the state of the art cable car with its revolving floor - ensuring all visitors get a 360˚ view on the way up and down the mountain.

Once on the mountain top there is over 2km of pathway, leading you to a many different vantage points and look-outs over Cape Town, Table Bay, Robben Island, the Cape Flats and the Cape Peninsula. Visitors can also join one of two free guided tours.

In addition to its sheer beauty, Table Mountain is also famous for its extra-ordinary floral biodiversity; especially its fynbos. There are over 1500 species of plants found just on the mountain alone.

Visits to Table Mountain are highly dependant on the weather as the Cable Car cannot operate in bad weather. For this reason visitors cannot book tickets. It is therefore advisable that you check the weather for the week and plan which day you want to go up the mountain.

The Cable Car is not the only way to reach the top of Table Mountain. The Mountain is undoubtedly also a walker’s paradise, and hikers will enjoy the natural beauty while exploring on-foot. There are 5 different routes up to the top of Table Mountain, ranging from a 3hour walk to a full day walk.
