Home to all things Zulu; the Nkwaleni Valley was originally created as the set for the TV production of Shaka Zulu and now offers insight into the life of a Zulu Village. Once home to Shaka's kraal (village), there are now a number of Zulu-village cultural attractions to explore in and around this area. Guided tours to the area provide guests with a visual explanation of typical Zulu traditions such as hut building, beer brewing and the powers of the Sangoma. Guests are able to spend the night in beehive huts after enjoying a dinner of traditional Zulu food and an entertaining display of Zulu dancing.

Having discovered the customs of the Zulu people, one can enjoy a sunset cruise on the river while staring in splendour at the surrounding valley and hills on which Shaka established his fabled military stronghold.
