Welwitschia Plains
SwakopmundSituated approximately 40 kilometres away from Swakopmund, the Welwitschia Trail takes you around the Namib Desert showing you the unique aspects of the desert. The Namib Desert is able to sustain a very interesting and unique ecosystem including the Welwitschia mirahilis plants after which the area is known. The tour lasts 4 hours and is a self drive tour to 13 different beacons introducing visitors to the many beautiful aspects of the desert.
