Fort Nottingham Museum

The Fort Nottingham Museum is housed in an old fort which was built when a regiment from Nottinghamshire were stationed in the area in 1856. The museum takes a look at the early settlers in the Natal Midlands as well as the San Bushmen of the Drakensberg.

Every year the museum hosts Highland Games with a number of traditional Scottish games being played. The festival entails events, exhibitors, food stalls, highland dancing and athletic games.

The museum is open Thursday to Sunday and Public holidays from 10:00 – 17:00. Admission is free.
