The KZN Sharks Board has been working for the last 40 years to ensure the safety of Natal beaches. The board ensures the maximum safety for bathers, whilst leaving as little impact on the environment as possible.

The headquarters in Umhlanga offers unique insights into the work done by the Sharks Board with both audio and visual displays. Members of the public can gain a unique insight into the maintenance of the shark nets off Durban’s coast by joining one of the boat trips that take the public out to the nets at dawn.
