Imhoff Farm

Kommetjie

In the laid-back and eclectic seaside village of Kommetjie is Imhoff Farm with its variety of décor and craft shops, restaurant and coffee shop and animal encounters from camels to snakes.

Children love interacting with the friendly farm animals at Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard – there are goats, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and a pony. At the neighbouring snake park, kids and adults alike can learn more about reptiles in this sanctuary and rehabilitation centre.

At the popular Blue Water Café there is a safe enclosed garden, jungle gym (as well as the farm animals next door) – which makes it a firm favourite amongst families.

The Café serves delicious food and pizzas baked in a wood fired oven. Ingredients are farm fresh, and organic or free range wherever possible. Breakfast (until 12 noon), lunch, tea and dinner are served on Tuesdays from 9.00am until 5.00pm and Wednesday to Sunday from 9.00am until late.

Also based here is the Imhoff Equestrian Centre which offers a 2-hour guided beach ride on Noordhoek Beach. The Centre caters for all ages over 12 years old and for all levels, from beginners to advanced riders. Booking essential.

Camel rides are open Tuesdays - Sundays & Public Holidays from 12h00-16h00 (weather permitting).

There are also a host of shops to wander through and explore selling everything from organic produce to art, clothing, wine, décor and handmade chocolates. Definitely a little something for everyone.
