Cape Town Science Centre

Observatory

Located on the Main Road in Observatory (just below Groote Schuur Hospital), the Cape Town Science Centre makes for a great family outing with loads of exhibits and activities to see and explore.

Children of all ages are catered for – the little ones will enjoy ‘building’ their own house on the Murray & Roberts Building Site, launch a air rocket, experience weightlessness similar to that of space with a spin on the Human Gyroscope and enjoy a game of chess on the Giant Chess set – these are just a few of the many experiences on offer. For Lego enthusiasts, Kiddiwinks lego store is also based at the centre and offers Lego activities.

Refreshments, snacks, tea and coffee are available at the SciCafe.

The Science Centre is open Monday to Saturday from 09h00 – 16h30, and on Sundays and Public Holidays from 10h00 – 16h30. Entrance fee is R38 per person and R15 for pensioners. Family Package for 4 people is R132. For further information telephone + 27 21 300 3200 or visit www.mtnsciencentre.org.za.
