Kalk Bay
Kalk BayThe vibrant and eclectic seaside town of Kalk Bay is popular weekend stop-off amongst locals and is well known for its jumble of antique and second-hand stores, art galleries, boutiques and book stores as well as a variety of cafes, coffee shops and restaurants. The harbour is perfect for a stroll amongst the colourful fishing boats to the lighthouse at the end of the pier. Fishermen and kids try their luck from the harbour wall and you’re bound to see a couple of seals darting through the waves.
Don’t leave without trying some just-off-the-boat fish and chips from either the casual take-away or at the more elegant Harbour House restaurant upstairs. On a hot summers day there is a great Gelato shop on the main road, for great coffee and pastries the ever-popular Olympia Café and Tribecca Bakery are also on the main stretch.
