Kosi Bay Mouth forms part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and is situated in the North Eastern tip of the KZN province. The mouth consist of 4 lakes, namely Amanzamnyama, KuNhlange, Makhawulani and Mpungwini. These lakes range from freshwater to saline and consist of interrelated channels, which lead into the warm Indian Ocean.

The mouth is only accessible with the help of a 4X4, and many of the lodges in the area offer guided and organised tours. Activities include snorkelling, which is a must as there is an abundance of breath-taking fish to see. You are also able to watch the locals in action while working with their traditional Thonga Fish Kraals.
