Igwala means Purple Crested Turaco in Zulu. A Purple Crested Turaco is a species of bird in the Musophagidae family which lives in damp woodland and evergreen forests.

This 1.5 km circular trail is suitable for all ages and leads through the lush coastal forest next to the St. Lucia Estuary. Bird watching enthusiasts will be pleased to know that there is a diverse range of bird species in the area including the Yellow-rumped Tinkerbird and the Goldentailed Woodpecker.
