Groot Constantia
ConstantiaGroot Constantia is the oldest wine farm in South Africa and was established in 1685 by Simon Van Der Stel, the first governor of the Cape. The old gables and houses have been restored and the Manor House has been converted into a museum.
Wine tasting and cellar tours can be taken daily where you can learn about the process of wine making, and taste Groot Constantia’s award winning wines. The dining options at Groot Constantia include the restaurants of Simon’s and Jonkershuis which offer a continental and traditional menu.
