This reserve is home to a vast variety of wildlife such as the Bearded Vulture, which is an endangered species. It boasts picturesque views as well as historic San rock art. Other attractions include the Izimbali Restaurant and Pub, a curio shop filled with interesting items and the exclusive Rock Lodge Conference Centre, which can seat up to 70 members or about 120 guests for weddings or other special occasions.

Activities include fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and even ice climbing during the winter months. Exceptional accommodation is available at the reserve.
