Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

Hoedspruit

The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre is a non-profit organization that is focused on the conservation and protection of rare, vulnerable or endangered animals. The centre seeks to establish and release captive-bred cheetahs back into the wild, and helps with the treatment and rehabilitation of wild animals. Cheetah, lion and wild dog are some of the main species that are looked after at the centre.

An aim of the centre is to educate the general public on conservation and tours start on the hour and take visitors on open safari vehicles into the different enclosures. Eco-tourism is an essential part of the centre and visitors are able to get an up-close experience with these animals.
