Molopo Game Reserve

Bophirima

Situated in a very peaceful and remote area of the Bophirima region, this 24 000 ha reserve is comprised of Kalahari grassland and thornveld. It is located near the Botswana border, about 250 km from Vryburg, and was established In 1987.

Most of the wildlife and birdlife found in the reserve are endemic to the desert regions of South Africa. It is home to a variety of wildlife such as eland, blue wildebeest, gemsbok, red hartebeest, kudu, zebra, duiker, warthog, cheetah, honey badger and many more.

Over 120 bird species are found here including martial eagles and white-backed vultures.

Day and night drives can be arranged for guests. Another interesting attraction to visit here is the fossilised Phepane river bed, which is millions of years old.
